Plans are underway for the 4th Annual Children’s Festival of the Book at Bozeman Public Library in Bozeman, Montana.

I can’t wait!! Such an excellent roster!

  2. Lisa says:

Sandra, I am a huge fan of Marla Frazee. Can anyone attend the festival or is it for you local scbwi chapter?

    • LIsa–The Children’s Festival of the book is a public library event, sponsored by the Bozeman Public LIbrary in Bozeman, Montana. It is not an SCBWI event, although SCBWI always comes and presents. This event is free and open to the public, so YES you can come and meet Marla Frazee! I hope you do. Bozeman is a wonderful place to visit, especially in the fall. I’ll be sending out more info on the Festival schedule in September–Thanks for responding, Sandra
      .

  3. If you’ll send me a schedule and contact information for the authors, I’ll consider coming over to do a couple of interviews for The Write Question.

    • Hi Cherie–sorry for the delay and thanks for your response re: Festival. Jeannie Gracey-Etgen is the program director of the Library Foundation who is in charge of this event. I am on the planning committee. Jeannie will be contacting you about your consideration of interviewing authors for The Write Question. It’s a great idea! Thank you!

  4. Sandy!!, how are you? This is an amazing project, and I’m so glad to know that you are in the thick of it. Pete Cowden is a Kansas Citian who owns with his wife The Reading Reptile, a children’s bookstore that is unparalleled. I’m excited for you! Check them out online at http://www.readingreptile.com, and then come visit Kansas City for the DNA Fest next March! Who knows, I may need to use your guest room soon, and will be happy to repay the favor! November 5th? I’m saving the date.

    • Clare! How fantastic to hear from you! It’s amazing that you found my blog. Yes, this event is a little gem. I’m sorry to say that Pete Cowden has cancelled. I just took his name off the roster on the blog entry (The Reading Reptile’s reputation ripples all the way to the west). But we’re going to rock with David Shannon, Marla Frazee and Liz Scanlon–no doubt. Might you really come? Let me know.
